brett and i are planning a trip to india at the end of this year, and our lovely friend, terri (a world traveler who stayed in india for 5 months), invited us over to her home in jackson heights to share her experiences in india with us. she also had her friend, karen, share her india experiences as well. we wanted to do something to give back to them, so brett and i collectively drew them thank you postcards. he drew him, i drew me, and i also drew the holy cow. it felt very nice to draw again for fun. i’ve been away from drawing because i’ve been focusing on the “before i die i want to…” project.

i’m glad to be representing ‘merica in this show in australia. 80 artists (from australia and abroad - some x-fabricantis) were invited to decorate this odd little wooden shape. proceeds benefit “close the gap” (http://www.oxfam.org.au/campaigns/indigenous-health/) in australia.

i love thrift store shopping. do you ever wonder what the heck happened in your new-old-clothes before you wore ‘em? brett and i decided to let the next person who wears these hats know how they were significant to us. they are at good will (with our other victims of spring cleaning) as of yesterday.
